imageHuman rights are inherent and not granted by the state and so a child as a human being is supposed to enjoy full rights of a human being. The Constitution of the republic of Uganda provides for the rights of children and in fulfillment of its duty as a state, the children Act cap 59 was enacted which details the rights of the child and measures in protecting such rights.

In pursuit of our activities and according to the assessment we have carried out from our daily activities, it has been observed that most children are prone to human rights violations especially the orphaned. During their holidays their guardians subject them to too much work- some are sent to work for money while others are much as they do domestic work it affects their development both physically and academically. They do not have time to do their holiday work which later affects their performance.
